Black-Tailed Conure: P. melanura melanura
This species is found in the northwestern Amazon region, to the upper Orinoco, eastward to Rio Negro, and southward to northeastern Peru and the Rio Solimoes.
Since 1970 this species has been regularly available in the trade, especially in the United States and Germany.
Blue-Throated Conure: P. cruentata
The species is found along the coast of Brazil to northeastern Sao Paolo.
The Blue-Throated conure is protected in the wild and is available only occasionally.
Maroon-Bellied Conure: P. frontalis frontalis
This species comes from southeastern Brazil, from the east of Minas Geraes and Espirito Santo to Rio de Janeiro. It is also found in northeastern Argentina, Uruguay, and eastern Paraguay. The species is available irregularly at any time of the year.

The species is native to Suriname, Guyana, and the Amazon basin.
Peach-Fronted Conure
The Peach-Fronted conure has the greatest natural range of all conures with the exception of the white-eyed conure. It is native to Brazil south of the Amazon and eastward to Rio Madeira, eastern Bolivia, Mato Grosso, and Sao Paolo.
